02071 only 1 wiper working

Hope you all don't mind me posting here, I have a mk2 Leon Cupra and having no look on their owners club. So as they share the same base thought I would see if you guys could help me.

Basically I changed my passenger side wiper arm and reg, due to me snapping the stud on it. Before changing it the drivers side wiper worked fine, but now won't have none of it have even changed the drivers side one.

Plugged it in using snap on diagnosis at work and came up with 02071 fault code. Have checked wiring around plugs and all is good. 
Any help would be great guys as not one reply on our owners club for it.

Silly question but have you plugged both connecting rods in place or the correct way around?.
Is the regulator of the same brand as they do differ some what?.
Maybe it needs reprogramming via vagcom?.

Yeah everything connected the way they should. Passenger side is the master motor so sends signal to passenger side . Has to be something ring their I'm thinking

I have a feeling you may need to reset using vagcom.
or take the battery off for a few minutes and try do a reset that way.

Tried a reset by taking battery off. Going to a garage tomorrow which uses vag com. Will let you know how i get on.

Hope you sort it out. remember bonnet needs to be closed with most vag cars for the wipers to work.

Problem solved, either both have to be changed with a pair from another car or you need to code them in.
