golf gt tdi
« on: May 12, 2016, 08:03:39 pm »
hello i have a mk5 golf gt tdi 55 plate was 140bhp but my dad had it remapped. it was his car but he brought a new car so gave me this golf. in first gear and 2nd it just seems slow until it his 2,000 - 2,500 rpm and it just wants to take off. last year the original turbo blew up so had a new one fitted. next friday I'm having my engine cleaned by engine carbon clean. hope this will help it bit. apparently when the turbo blew up there was only about 0.5l left in the engine so put a lot of diesel down the exhaust ect!

I had mine carbon cleaned. Ran so much smoother afterwards but best thing you can do is get EGR removed and mapped out.

The EGR is physically removed then software adjusted/mapped to notify engine.
I had mine done at Darkside and they did a performance map at the same time
