already got some mods to be installed on the .:R Rcd510 BT, cruise, new gateway if needed, led interior, led oem mk6 license plate lights, maybe mk6 wheel. and wheels

Is it really that much? When I had the timing chains replaced on my Corrado VR6 it came to about a grand and it's essentially the same engine...

No. 5K is ridiculous, you'd have to be replacing half the engine for that. Had the chains, guides and tensioners done on my old MK5 R32 for around 1.5K. It's a gearbox out job, not the entire engine as some places would like you to believe.
