R-Tech vs Revo: Stage 2+
« on: May 20, 2016, 10:57:40 pm »
FINALLY a Dyno comparison of both maps at Stage 2+ (K04):

Not a massive difference in PEAK bhp, but with Niki using the VVT to spool the turbo earlier, the mid-range difference is substantial

Torque curves are very different.

Do you know What settings were used for revo BFT ?,

There seems to be a number of lines on that graph, the colour hasn't come through on the photo very well. Can you add some labels  :happy2:

As above. Settings used on the Revo and whether they were optimised after logging make all the difference....

What was the difference in boost? I'm guessing the boost trace is the bottom lines but it is really hard to make out

Torque looks low on the Revo 2+. Would have expected more than that.

Sorry guys, pinched the graph off the TFSI tuning Facebook page. I do know it was running meth on the Revo map, and switched off for the R-Tech run.

If you can read the figures at the top, the colour of the writing correlates to the line on the graph.

Sounds even more odd, switched off the meth for R-Tech map and it made more ?   Dan, you better get to R-Tech, you can ditch your meth and get more torque !  :jumpmove:

As said above the Revo settings used were B7 T6 F6, i tried logging with lots of different settings and pushing the timing higher than 6 resulted in too much timing pull ( around 6 degrees on each cylinder ).

Tried playing around with the boost setting and didn't give any more benefit apart from more sporadic timing pull.

On the day at r tech I spoke to Niki and I was using too small a nozzle for the meth so fitted the next size up. Also had a small leak from the plastic pipe in the fuel pump basket assembly which has since been fixed.

Previous dyno run on the revo map made 358bhp and 360lbft at Ray West Tuning at Thruxton ( going again in August). But the Revo map never felt the same every day, some days it felt quick and next day it was like someone had taken the turbo off.
