Slow MDI

I've recently fitted mdi glovebox kit and when using it with my phone it's is horrendously slow to navigate and when switching between tracks it sometimes skips a few seconds off the start.

I've searched already online and found new updates etc for mdi which is now complete but still no improvement. Has anyone else come across this problem?
