need a bit of advise,been using autoglym ultra deep shine polish,since the car was new,can i use meguiars car wax on top of the polish

Yeah but don't forget to rinse the car after the polish to remove all the fine particles.

I think AG's EGP (extra gloss protection I think) should in theory work better as they're designed to work as a combo, as is SRP+EGP. Also nothing stopping you to polish, add on EGP and then apply the wax.

Ultra Deep Shine and Super Resin Polish are quite different.  UDS you cannot top with the Extra Gloss Protection (and its for this reason I am not a fan) as it was designed as a stand alone product...  SRP is lightly abrasive, better at overall correction and can be topped with EGP but on its own offers less protection than UDS.

When topping with Meguiars wax, be aware of streaking as a product which is not bonding to what it below it will leave streaks...  UDS I have topped with a carnauba wax quite happily, but a sealent style product will not be happy over it in my experience.

I have some of the Autoglym High Definition Wax and it is very good if a touch pricey.

Some SRP followed by a coat of this wax will last quite a while provided you wash with cold water (so you don't melt the wax).

Wow I didn't know about UDP being a stand alone product. Thought it was just a different version of the polish compared to SRP.

Yep UDS is a stand alone product. This is my routine:

1) AG Body Wash Shampoo
2) Wipe down with Blade & Micro Fibre
3) UDS with applicator then polish off with Microfibre
4) AG High Def Wax

The finish was sensational too it round to my mates place and his mouth hit the floor.

Usual washing is:

1) AG Body Wash Shampoo
2) Wipe down with blade
3) Aquawax with MicroFibre

AG Aquawax is good but no where as good as the High Def Wax which is sensational.

Wooaahhh!!!!!!! keep that blade away from your paint, does more damage than good IMHO.

Thats what i thought he possibly meant, a wise man once told me after i bought one that blades are for windows so use them on windows.  :wink:

used a blade for the first time two years ago and never again :sad: light scrathes on the paint and being black you could see very well. and all for a tenner :scared:

thanks dave for the advise-must admit i like this polish..what  make of carnauba wax should i use

Using the blade is fine its the AG 'Hi-Tech Flexi Water Blade'.

Anyone got a routine for the interior? Have a staffie dog and he insist in sitting in the front seat as soon as I leave the car hence dirty paw marks everywhere.

I use a 12V Halfords dust buster for cleaning the car out, tip is to have the engine running whilst you do it.

which product carnauba wax is best to use on the top of Ag ultra deep shine or what bout using the ag hd wax on top of the ultra deep shine instead
