Hang on...  I don't get it...
You go to them and order a specific colour and they paint it a different colour because THEY think it would look better.

You don't like it and want the colour that you ORDERED and the ONLY option is to swap the whole wheel with another customers?

Why isn't them repainting them an option? How is that not possible? They sound shocking.

You missed out the paying for this non existing dervice

@lukemk5gti
i maent to say this to you earlier that a friend in work had his monza's done by the same crowd last year and the inserts are dark/charcoal grey so its not like they cant do it.
i will take a picture of them next time i see him and put it up in here.
the problem i find with insert colour on your wheels is that it is very hard to tell they are diamond cut as the insert colour is too similar to the face of the wheel.

For what its worth mate we had our Monza's diamond cut refurbed last year and after seeing a few of the guys wheels on here we decided to go for black inserts instead of the original grey. They look absolutely fantastic and somehow seem to look a bit bigger than they did before. So its just something to think about before you get them sprayed again. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Not sure l'd be happy with someone else's wheels. You paid for a service where they refurb YOUR wheels, not an exchange service. They messed up by not following your instructions. I'd ask for your wheels to be redone or a full refund & take them elsewhere.

Maybe the other customer won't want someone else's wheels, if they tell them!

Went in to meet them again yesterday morning and he has 4 wheels belonging to another customer.

They are painted in the EXACT grey that I wanted. Why couldn't he just admit that he did know what colour I requested but he just made a mistake.

So he gives me 1 of the 4 wheels (keep in mind this is before any work on them has taken place). It doesn't look bad so I agree to take that guys wheels as a swap for mine when the refurb is done.

Then I ask to see the other 3 which are moved aside. He shows me this:

It's absolutely destroyed with white worm. Mine were hardly touched when I dropped them in so I tell him I'm not willing to take those wheels.

He then offers me another donor wheel from a different guy. At this stage I had enough. He's offering me 4 wheels in bits belonging to other people that don't even know their wheels are being offered up.

I told him I asked him to do my wheels in my spec and I won't settle so now he's agreed but I'll be making sure I get MY wheels back!

They have markings such as 1K0 601 025 AH, AL SM2 Mg wa, BBS R0271, 05 45 057 so I'll just keep track of that. The other sets he had in there were BBS R04 something or other.

I'll tell him beforehand that I want my exact wheels back and I have photos of the markings to reference.

Called them up as they're due for collection today. Needless to say I wasn't surprised when I was told there's another 2 day delay...

Friday it is!!

Anyway, I'm going to seal them before they get much use so advice please.

I don't need to glaze but since it does give it a wet look under the sealant should I still do a coat?

I'll do 2 or 3 coats of jetseal 109 correct?

I only have autoglym super HD wax. Do I need a different wax capable of dealing with high temperature?

Anything else I'm missing?
