It doesn't matter if 1 in a 100 have a delay, if you are that 1 person you have the right to feel disappointed. They should compensate you in some way op

As per usual jay is on keyboard warrior duties  :congrats:

Keyboard opinion duties mate.
Its one days delay and you are posting up whining about it.
It happens!!! Try having to wait 2 months for something supposed to only take 1 month. :-)

I did mine myself. Not diamond cut per se, but still turned on CNC lathe with aluminium insert.
Mine are actually the 17" Denvers which I sanded back, painted black and then machined to look like the 18" Monza/Detroits.

1 day delay, I can understand the issue, but it's not much. Mine were done two at a time, the guy took 3.5 weeks to get two done after stating a week max!

Delays happen from time to time and can be outwith physical management

Picked them up Saturday and I'm not very happy with them overall.

I specifically discussed the grey painted inserts with both of the lads in there. One of them mentioned doing a light grey and I specifically requested my dark grey LA7T I believe as I think it contrasts more. They agreed to do as I asked but when I picked them up they were done in the light grey. I did say it to him on the day and he just said "well the light grey is nicer". It doesn't matter what he thinks is nicer, I asked for the dark and paid for the service.

The painting also wasn't amazing, slight over spill around the inserts and poor masking lines on some of the straights compared to what they were. You can see a wave pattern on the top of the photo below where some of the paint hasn't been done right on the insert

Overall I would not recommend their service for the price paid.

Sorry to hear the Luke, I agree about the contrast of grey. But on the plus side, they do look good with your freshly painted calipers. Rubbish that they ignored what you asked  :sad1:

oh dear - i think i would have refused to accept them as they weren't as specified. Like you, i prefer the contrast of either dark grey or even the black inserts.

If you had asked for the darker inserts then you should have not paid/taken them away until it was done to your specs .

Bit of a pain but on the plus side they look pretty good in the pics tbf.

You know what it's like when you're excited to pick up a new thing! I was looking at them through rose tinted glasses and wasn't thinking straight. It literally only sunk in after I got back home!

They look great.  Shame they wernt exactly as you wanted, but you've got them now.   Enjoy them, and chalk it up to experience.

As the others have said, I actually like them. Darker inserts would like better, but they don't look that bad. Is it worth asking for some sort of refund or a gesture of good will from them?

Called them up today and was told there's nothing they could do. After a few minutes the best he could do was swapping my monzas with those of the next customer coming into him. He would give him mine and he would do up theirs to my specification. Although that is a good offer, I wouldn't be keen on someone else's wheels and I don't know if someone else would even agree to this.

What's your thoughts everyone?

Would they guarantee someone else's wheels against being buckled and also genuine?
