Hi there, I'm new to the forum so forgive me if I seem a little green but I have quite a major problem with my mk5 GTI. The pipe on the exit of the turbo leading to the exhaust has randomly come out whilst I was driving the other day causing a very loud noise and not a lot of go!!!
Ive been trying to find out what this pipe is called and or what caused this to happen?
However I did try to unbolt the flange to see if it would slot back in which didn't go too well as I snapped a bolt off which is probably going to cause me no end of problems now, there is still 1 bolt on there which I feel could go the same way so I haven't been able to get the flange off yet.
If anyone could help me in telling me what this pipe is called and is it a pain to fix? It would be appreciated, also what would cause this to happen as the pipe is not corroded and has no sign of snapping at all.
