Crankcase vacuum
« on: June 05, 2016, 10:38:33 am »
Took my R for a remap and the guy tuning it pointed out the high vacuum from the crankcase.

You can really feel it when you take of the oil filler or lift the dipstick and the engine coughs and splutters when either of these are done.

I have recently, within 500mls, changed the PCV valve so I dont think its that although I havent re checked it yet.

I have read that changing the DV could fix so will need to try that aswell.

There are no fault codes

Anyone else have any theories as to what could be causing it.

Thanks
