edition 30 splitter

quick question (probably a dumb one too) but can you put an edition 30 splitter straight onto a standard GTI? No messing; just a straight swap?

thanks

Yes, the front bumper is the same, just the Ed. 30 splitter is nicer looking.

To ask another related question... Is the Normal/R32/ED30/GTI undertray the same? Basically, will my TDI undertray fit a ED30 splitter?

Thanks

The GTI and Ed. 30 splitters won't fit the normal Golf front bumper, just the GT Sport, Variant and Jetta front bumpers can also fit GTI and Ed. 30 splitters.

The TDI undertray is also different from the R32 undertray, that is also full, not like the small undertrays that GTI and Ed. 30 have. The TDI undertray has a lot of sound deadening, so I'm not sure if the oil sump is compatible.

Thanks @Shoduchi

so I'm best sourcing a late GT TDI undertray which should fit the GTI/GT bumper and TDI engine :)

This facelift is going to cost more than I thought.

I guess you can test fit your current undertray to the GT Sport/GTI front bumper, it might fit.

I just know that petrol and diesel undertrays are different due to the sound deadening of the diesel part. If you check ETKA online you can also see if there are different versions for the diesel GT Sport and normal diesel Golfs.

A bit late on the thread but, I have a 1.6 fsi so since I have the same undertray as the gti's (assumption since both petrol engines) would it be easy enough to fit to my standard bumper?

The R32 undertray should also fit your splitter.
