Help needed with MFD2 Version C CD/SAT NAV
« on: June 10, 2016, 09:42:08 am »
Hi Guys,

I need some help or advice regarding our MFD2 version C CD & SAT NAV player. Over the past few days when you put a CD into the player it fails to recognize the C.D at at and shows the message "No audible CD". On some occasions it may then start playing the CD then stop. It also wont release the CD straight away either. Is there a FIX for this sort of issue or is it time to upgrade ? I rather not upgrade at the moment as we are thinking of potentially selling the car this year. Any help as always would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Same happened to mine.

The CD is constantly in the MFD2 so over years the laser etches it apparently. It will work the odd time yes but the only fix is to replace it.

I toyed with upgrading to RNS 510 but without sounding retro, I like the 6 disc cd changer so I just picked up an XCarLink for €50 to play spotify and I have a new MFD CD on the way for £30 but I doubt it's genuine. I'll let you know if it works when it arrives and then you can pick one up yourself!

Cheers mate, thanks for the advice. I'll probably just try and replace it then. Thanks again  :happy2:
