Check the wiring under the seats for airbag??

apologies, i should have said - VW have said its the steeringwheel airbag

i have a VAGcom so i can get a code on saturday

did they diagnose it with a diag tool?.

they had it plugged in, but wouldnt actually tell us the error codes

so i bought my own basic tool.

Ok basic tool Konnwei kw809 - shows no errors in the ECU, but it cant read the codes in the sub menus like the airbag system - i can erase the codes but the airbag fault comes back straight away (ie within seconds)

looks like i will need to find someone local in Essex to check the error for me properly.
