DSG noise in D on cold start - goes once warm

Hi all

Seem to be getting a bit of a rattling/grinding noise when I put my car on D on a cold start (foot on break). Driving is fine and no jerkyness or anything. Noise goes once the car is warm or if it's in N or P.

Any ideas?

Hey Shoayb!

Mines does this too.... I just figured it was normal.. :ashamed: Mine is barely noticeable to be honest but there is definitely a change in the noise when changing from D into N or P.

Last serviced in February this year and DSG oil change in 2014

@fazi123 I've never noticed it but might be now I'm driving a little with the stereo off lol got my pre cat delete done by the way did it myself with the help of my brother in law @Gtiene

I thought the flywheel rattle would stay even when warm? This goes once the car warms up

Turns out was an alternator pulley - £100 later and now it's fixed  :happy2:
