To cover or not to cover ? Very hot weather
« on: June 21, 2016, 06:05:48 am »
Sorry guys to mention weather again but any paint experts out there ?
I bought a good quality cover for the car to try and continue its sheltered life treatment it had before I got it. I am a bit concerned about the body work in direct sunlight, we have a heatwave at the moment upper 30's, with the cover on the bonnet is too hot to touch, take off the cover and it's cool, the car is white, obviously any breeze will have a cooling effect when uncovered but it's UV that's the problem I think which is invisible ? I have the dreaded damaged plastic headlights which seem to have suffered as badly if not worse for being covered ... I am well confused !  To make matters worse the car has leather which again could really do with being offered some protection ?
Any input would be very welcome !     Steve
