Pads for life!!

Booked my Gti into dealers for new discs and pads and just been told my pads are now garanteed for life......gti's are covered but not type r's
Thought I might post this for info as its new and just done by Vw. Everything up to 2ltr is covered

I dont see the point in that? they only last a few years anyway

Yes .....I doubled checked it to make sure!
You get a certificate that's validated to the car and it's for life apparantly

There's probably a catch where you have to get the pads replaced at the dealer, therefore having to pay the labour.

That was my first thought I see it as 1hour at full price!

Yes there is a labour charge but free pads as they do this deal at ford and there's also a tyre thing going on but I wouldn't trust any dealer as they charged a customer 130 for a 30 tyre which was meant to be a Michelin.
