My r32 milltek exhaust sat like that, loosen the clamp between the centre section and the downpipe/milltek connecting pipe and tap the whole thing back with a rubber mallet. Loosen the rear section clamp and tap the tailpipes up to sit closer to the bumper :happy2:
thanks bud , seen there was some adjustment if needed in they areas you mentioned when i was fitting   :happy2:
ran out of time today so ill need to do some adjustments next week.

cheers guys
saw the bootlid on ebay , so contacted the company by phone and done a deal
hopefully have a carbon bonnet for the summer, keep seeing more carbon bits i want too but its damn expensive  :fighting2:

Any plans to paint it?
I am a big fan of carbon, but don't like the thought of having large panels that don't match, Or if you left a centre strip in carbon?

Did you get the R32 US style bumper from VW? if so how much did you pay for it as I have toyed with getting one sorted.
Also had the Milltek R32 style exhaust, and hated the fact the backbox hung so low, so much so that when I had the FK coilovers on I was scooping up empty beer cans on the way to work one day by accident!

got myself a US R32 back end,Milltek R32 zorst and also a Seibon carbon bootlid

That's the moneyshot right there, that's a rear end to die for, really good looking  :congrats:
Are you planning to leave it in carbon?
Also i'm very interested in hearing your thoughts on fitment, and day to day use of it. Have you fitted shocks  that are weaker than stock? Have you sounddampened it??
Again a great looking rear end

Over the top mod list ;o)

Big al - not planning on painting it as I like the slight contrast, altho not sure if I would do it if my car was a lighter colour.
The plan is to get the grill, bonnet, exhaust surround and wing mirrors carbon too and a darker or carbon roof, but right now my bank says no  :sad1:
Pretty sure the exhaust was originally yours too Al ,Think you sold it to tonygti
there's a can shaped dent on the back box aswell

Danishmkvgti - the fitment isn't a 100% but I can easily live with it as I'm not overly picky , was disappointed tho as the high level brake light doesn't fit at all !!! I wasn't planning on getting a carbon spoiler but it is now a must  :chicken:
I haven't fitted any sound Damping or the interior boot panel and I personally don't think the cabin noise has increased that much , no change to the shocks either altho when you push the handle you have to step back quick or you'll get a face full of bootlid  :rolleye: don't actually use my boot that much so right now it works for me

Looks awesome. I was thinking carbon roof and bonnet would make it all looks so much better.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Hi RT, looks luvly, did you notice what the weight differrence was? It must fly up, mine comes up pretty fast and I've only taken out the Washer/Wiper & inner panel.

I was looking at these just for weight saving but I think I'd be better off saving weight at the front as the backs empty anyway. Carbon roof saves 10kg from Performance Trim but not sure what it looks like on the inside (no roof linning!), and carbon wings which are 10mm wider.
