Out of interest why would you run a single gauge like this when you can fit a polar FIS and display everything you can think of in the MFD (including a digital speed readout).

There is one limitation with Polar FIS, well it actually lies within the ECU when it comes to boost. It does with the Siemens ECU anyway. It is able to read figures higher than 1.6 Bar but cannot display them. If you log boost in VCDS, it will go off the chart at 2.6 bar (1 Bar atmosphere + 1.6 Bar boost). This also happens on the Polar. Mine maxes out at 1.66 Bar. My map is set to peak at 1.75 which I cannot see without a mechanical gauge.

Looks the same pod that I am using. If you have a look at my build thread, on the last page there are a couple of photos of it fitted. Can take some more if you need them  :happy2:
Thanks for that, just what I needed. How close to oe is it would you say? Colour, finish, quality of plastic etc? Have they modified a VAG part?

Thanks again.  :happy2:

The one I have came with a genuine vent which I think is how they come. I bought mine second hand and due to it being slightly worse condition than my own, I swapped the vent part over to use my front. Overall pleased with the quality so no issues there. I found I had to drill a hole in the ducting to be able to feed the boost pipe to the back of the gauge. As for the colour of the Newsouth, its near as perfect to my eye  :happy2: Just make sure you use the supplied 'No Buzz' fitting you get with the kit if you can. I found the needle would bounce so much it would be audible. My boost tap is straight off the EGR delete so I couldn't use it but cotton wool in the pipe behind the gauge dampens it enough to be satisfactory.

I bought this kit, and two weeks later i thought i had an issue with my turbo (noticed small drop on the boost gauge) so it paid for itself straight away when it turned out that a part of my cat had broken up and blocked my exhaust. if i didnt notice it could have caused some issues!

It looks the same as the originaland Its also soooooo easy to install, just chuck the pipe through the firewall under the passenger side dash (Long driver helped) and wire it into the light switch....Done
