Match item 7 to your eng type - that's the part number you'll need to get

http://www.partscats.info/volkswagen/en/?i=cat_vag_models&brand=vw&number=1714&set=1728&ein=2007&f=474&hauptgr=1234567890&hg=8&grf=080500420&bf=80500&hgug=805&ug=05&parent_id=2348906

Also check your fan blades as it's not uncommon to be chopped up by the fan and damage a blade or two!
Less than a fiver for the part if I remember correctly

ok I found the cover in the engine bay ? god knows why its there , is there a filter meant to be in there?  also one more thing :( I checked to oil cap and theres a little bit off cream in there  but only a little bit , is that normal as its getting cold or should I sh*t myself??

No need to worry if it's only a result of short journeys - recheck after a long journey

Holy thread resurrection batman.....

I was checking the oil before my trip up to RTech tomorrow morning and this cover is missing. Have checked engine bay and its not there. Fan looks OK.

Question is where do I get one (link above not working) and also will this effect my Stage 1 map tomorrow??

Thanks in advance.
