How do I stop bullying at work
« on: July 05, 2016, 09:23:40 pm »
Answers within please. barstewardss are bullying me at work.
first they scratch my bonnet lifting my wipers up as it's parked at the road side down the road and secondly one pri** is getting irritating and in my face all the time.
The other pro** swore at me and said not to talk to him or he'll sort me out

Keep a log of what happens. Then speak to your boss.

Sounds like you have jumped from the frying pan into the fire. You could have  a word with the boss about it but can make things a lot worse

Yes seems that way maxi I can't belive what happens this morning and the way these pri*** are treating me. seems like they want me out but for what reason I don't know.

is it a small company or a big company with an on site HR department , are the people doing the bullying your bosses or the same level as you are they bullying anyone else

Rob
It's a small company Rob, I just couldn't belive what the guy said to me this morning when I asked him if he knew who pulled my wipers up and before I could say another work he went all aggressive on me
They are fitters like me and no one else is being bullied but me. one pri** keeps coming over to where I work and making silly comments about how fast I'm fitting the cars and how good it looks sarcasm if I'm not wrong as the silly comments about other things are making me wonder what's going on.

Its not good when there's no one to turn to for help its like being in the school yard again , a big part of the problem is realising its going on and asking for help ,  keeping a dairy is a good thing to do use this to approach who ever is in charge when the times right  , it's very difficult to stop bullying yourself ,so easy to say stand up to the bully but not easy to do ,try to make friends with the last new boy before you in chances are he was the target before you arrived strength in numbers ,
One thing you could try is next time your all sat having a tea break ask him calmly and firmly why he's bullying you in front of his peers and make it clear you don't like it , I'll put a bet he's doing it or has done to everyone

Good luck keep your chin up and don't let the barstewards win

Rob this guys a load mouth c*** excuse the French.

I spoke to him a few times and he always calls me bruv and also told me he has cancer ad he drinks too much  it for some reason he went off on one and I don't think it's a good idea to try talk to this psycho again as I'm not thay big a guy to handle his weight. I'll probably need a 2lb hammer in my hand to keep me from harm.

They have all been working together for years so I'm the newb and the other fella Steve who started two weeks ago but no one says anything to him as his around 50 years of age and I look like a kid so I'd be the one who gets bullied plus I'm non Caucasian not thay it should make a different but sadly.

If you feel threatened the best thing is to try  and stay out of his way , gather evidence against him and go to the boss , maybe a cheap dash cam would catch him red handed messing with your car and give you more ammo to go to the boss with

Headbutt!!!!

No seriously though just keep a record of what's going on as your boss will have to do something about it. And like said get a dash cam fitted ( one with motion detect) then you will have evidence for your boss or the police for criminal damage to your car.

Cheers bud these guys are being barstuards for some reason mainly two of them. I'll order a dash cam and thr guy at the shop also has a camera and he said he'll only show the police the video.

This is not advice but....This is well out of order. As difficult as it seems, in ur line of work, sounds to me like u just gotta fcking challenge one of these knobs. You got the tools there -  Whack one of the fckrs anywhere where it hurts - not even discretely. They won't understand anything else. You gotta stand up to em.

I'll probably get shot down for saying this, but pussyfooting around ain't gonna work with these morons. They probably think you're a threat to them - work-wise. I always remember the example my dad told me about from when he worked in the coal mine in the 50's, with my uncle, who had a disability. Someone was  taking the mick out of my uncle's disability and my dad knocked the pratt into next week. Never happened again. A very different era, and easier to say than do, but some things don't change.

You gotta make your own mind up if it's for you though.

Juliand I'd seriously be happy to do that but the law is a moth fecking pain and I don't fancy being arrested and locked up for years for killing or seriously disabling the basterds as ive done in the past to a pray who took a pelet gun to me and I went down with a hammer as these knobs have knives. They didn't fo** wirh me ever again but I wasn't thinking at the time and was only 20ish years old and didn't give a fo** as I was single then. What will happen to my car  :signLOL: the pigs will probably tow it away  :scared:

Seriously speaking I'm more worried about getting locked up for something I'll regret doing although I felt like doing it today. My 2lb hammer is close by too. the barstuard keeps coming up to me and making silly comments so I'm guessing they want to out. I'm going to byed my time there whilst looking for another job and also speak with my manager but I know this is going to aggrevate things.
