Surely you can't expect them to phone you for a software update that isn't going to cost you anything? I would of made sure they were aware the car had a map before they touched it.........................

Hope you get it sorted without to much hassle!  :happy2:

Sorry you didn't make that clear. At the end of the day if your car wasn't mapped (which 95% aren't) you would have expected them to do it while they had it. If you had of got back to collect the car and they asked you to re-book it for a five min update that would just be wasting everyone's time.

If you left specific instruction not to software update the car then I too would be upset.

Sorry to hear of this mate!

What car do you have and did they give the the details of the update i.e. the code number?

I've come across this many times in the past.

I've told my dealers that mine is remapped (nah, get away, you don't say! - sarcy buggers they were )

They don't have to enter any software to your car that you don't want them to. They do however assume by default that you do want the upgrades. This leaves it down to the owner to tell them otherwise. :happy2:
Golf R gone.

It's like them washing your car. They'll do it unless you tell them not to.
But if they knew it'd been remapped, then I think that's scandalous!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
