Yeah I would have thought so, me and my brother started to get annoyed at the whole situation and it was going dark so in the end we just put it together as best as we could and called it a day  :signLOL:

I'm sure I will enjoy it but I shall indeed let you know how I get on with it  :driver:

Did your fuel economy drop drastically? I'll keep an eye on that and report back when I find out something

Not really sure what caused my fuel economy to drop? I've had a dodgy coil, fitted a 3in turbo back exhaust and the RamAir since the car was mapped. So I'm not sure which if any of those caused the economy to drop. But it's definitely dropped a good bit. I got just 280mls from my last full tank :surprised:

I'm fitting a Peron Intercooler soon and then heading back to my tuner. I'll chat to him about it and I'm sure he'll be able to figure out what's up!!

Enjoy your new kit!

Not posted in a while but I have an update, just not a good one I don't think  :sad1: I've noticed at slower speeds I can feel a little knock in the steering but as far as I'm aware I can't hear anything from the outside?

But the for worst one, I've noticed a noise from the gearbox area, the noise goes when I put my foot on the clutch but comes back when I take it off, there's like a what sounds like a clunk the faster you put the pedal down? My drivers seat can wobble from time to time and the gears can be a little notchy too, so I'm maybe thinking the DMF, the input shaft bearing or both?  :sad1:

I've never had a dual mass flywheel before so I don't really know what I'm listening for but I'm not liking where is going.

My friend works in VW and can get the clutch and flywheel done for £500, that could solve the gearing issues but won't know the full extent till the gearbox is off.  As far as the steering issue goes, I have no idea, but at the moment sounds like I'm up s**t creek without a paddle  :sad1:

Gave the car a well over due wash, i say well overdue its been about two weeks but thats very bad for me!  :signLOL: crappy iphone photos though im afraid.

Getting my car sorted also at the end of this month! still no idea whats what but im leaving it with my friend for a day or two to get it repaired.

On the plus side, after that ill be on the look out for some lowering springs! im thinking either:

Apex - lowers the car 35mm - £109.13
H&R - lowers the car 30mm - £180
Eibach Pro Kit - lowers the car 30mm - £170.88

decisions decisions!

I'm on H&R mate, recommend them. They work well with OEM shocks too, not crash or harsh.

Turns out my car isn't as bad as I thought which is a good sign, so I'm going to save up and then get it done, found out though my rear passenger caliper is binding, I've heard it's a common thing to go wrong so I'll be getting that sorted soon.

Next on the list for mods though is springs and get an r32 rear and exhaust, exhaust wise, I'm thinking of getting a bcs power valve r32 style cat back

One of my headlights blew on the car today, so I thought I'd get some mtec cosmos blue headlight bulbs and some sidelights to match!  So when they arrive I'll get some photos of them

Bulbs arrived today, but just my luck I bought 100w instead of 55w  so I have a set of bulbs for sale if anyone wants them.  I also bought some sidelights but I can't for the life of me get them out! So I've given up for now and I'll try again on Friday when the other bulbs come.

Looks nice mate, few mods coming along!
Did you buy this down Bristol by any chance?

I'm on the Eibach Pro Kit - it's on a 2.0FSI but the drop is perfect (might be a little low on the ground-clearance front but that's because I've got the vortex kit on). Ride isn't bumpy or uncomfortable despite the lowering.

I almost bought it! Whilst I was still deciding you slipped in there and got it!
Bought myself a tornado red a few miles up the road instead.
Nice to see how it's come along, I love the colour!

Awh I snatched it up just before you, oh I love tornado red, got any photos? Thank you! It's slow and steady but it's coming along!

Awh okay, thank you, that's good to know, one of my friends had just bought FK springs, so depending on what they are like for him, I guess that's another option for me.
