Just fitted RCD510 to my MY07 edition 30 along with poem bluetooth microphone wiring harness and bluetooth module. Can't for the life of me figure out new coding for telephone controller. Current coding is 412120. It know the module is there but it's greyed out. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Have you seen this link, it may help.
http://www.myturbodiesel.com/wiki/bluetooth-faq-for-vw-golf-jetta-jsw-9w2-9w3-9w7-modules/
I think I have the same module, retrofitted, I'll check my coding...
There's also a good guide on the forum, it's for the 5k0 kit but principle is the same.

Cheers Jason
Had seen that and tried to adapt for UK english etc etc but to no avail. I'll try a cocktail of numbers and see if any work.
I'll try and find that guide.

Nope, it's no good. Didn't like any of the cocktail of numbers I tried. Bluetooth unit is on as my phone can see it and asked to pair with it, just the final hurdle of getting the headhunt to see it. Hope it's not the extra harness I got especially so I didn't have to do any wire cutting of soldering, or the new can bus gateway I fitted. That did puzzle me as the coding on it is completely different to the old one, wouldn't let me code it as the old one was but then car has been working fine since i put it in a few weeks ago. Goddamnit

So you have telephone activated in CAN gateway?
It's just the coding of the telephone module that's not working?
I remember having issues with mine and I had to use a custom label file in order to be able to code the module correctly.
My module is 5K0 035 730 D which I think is a 9W7 module.
I'll check my coding and get back to you, although I think it may be different to yours being 9W2.

Cheers. No idea on the can gateway idea. Just clutching at straws trying to think what else has changed.

For the car to know you have the Bluetooth module installed, in vcds, goto the can controller, I think it's module 19, and ensure 'telephone' is ticked in the long coding.
I guess it may be already ticked, but worth checking.

Yeah I've got telephone ticked in the can gateway controller. Just hope it's not a harness issue as I'm not looking forward to pulling everything out of the dash again. I do have another harness I could use but it'll involve cutting and joining wires, got the one I used to avoid that and just be plug and play. If I was brave enough and had more skin on my hand I'd swap the can gateway back just to try but I think being 1K0907530K I'll have battery drain issues.
