intercooler logs on TFSI- stok/APR/eurojet/twintercooler/S3 /Vf engineering

(1/3) > >>

Janner_Sy:
|Found this on my searches some guy has taken logs from various TFSI cars running different intercoolers, from k03 all the way upto BT converted cars.

thought it might be handy for anyone looking into getting a new intercooler any time soon. obviously its not as accurate as putting each intercooler on each car to trial it, but thats never going to happen.

Poppa Dom:
Interesting find, a shame that the THS is not represented but I understand why, it is a fairly new product. Comparison is interesting but inconclusive in my mind due to such a difference in ambient temperatures that they are using to compare against (difference of +20 degrees). As for APR's results, yeah, whatever I don't believe a 0.3 temperature differential no matter what the company.

Your looking for the difference between ambient and AIT which shows how efficiently the cooler is working..

There a lot more to it than just that though, recovery / flow / pressure drop etc etc.. Temp difference gives an indication though..
