Which front fogs
« on: July 27, 2016, 01:33:40 pm »
Recently fitted depo projectors with a hid kit but just feel the front fogs look out of place, what are people running instead of standard bulbs?

Always thought this myself but I never drive with fogs on.

I figure the cheapest would be some white lights to replace your halogen.

I'm using hid 6000k for the fogs and same as the head lights but hardly ever switch the fogs on unless the motorway is clear of traffic and I'm on the dark side with no motorway lighting.

I don't really use fogs only have them for cornering fogs and saw the reflection of them today looked daft!

I do want yellow but my mot tester made my change my yellow high beams to pass so sure he'd love them haha! Probably need to go elsewhere for my mot

I seem to recall that all French cars had yellow front lights, heads, fogs etc, at one time?
Didn't we have to use yellow overlays or "paint" on UK cars when driving there?

Also that "experts" opinion was that fig lights should be yellow for best performance in fog?

All something to do with it being better for less dazzle?

Both seem to have gone out of fashion now....

Oh I know he was wrong and explained the French cars plus I had found that link but he was having none of it so bought some £1.50 bulbs to put in and literally take back out. Its run by an older guy who is way behind the times
