Light came up on car for the P1297 error code.

This also came up with  P2188 System Too Rich At Idle

I only replaced my DV for a piston type rev D last year so that it would be less inclined to break down.

Any thoughts?

Side note, I just tightened the turbo hose which was coming loose so I wonder if I over-tightened and split it at the rear where I can't see.

It indicates a leak of some description. Just because you fitted a Rev D does not mean that the solenoid driving the valve hasn't failed. If you have an intake, you can audibly hear whether the N249 (Diverter valve) is doing its job or not.

If its not that, get checking for leaks, including the PCV etc. making sure everything is airtight

Failing/faulty throttlebody is another option - try running the TB adaption on VCDS

Thanks @Dan_FR I suspect a leaking turbo hose after tightening so will start from there.

PCV test check has passed.

What's the test for throttle body?

There's an adaption/calibration you can run that generally tells you if the TB is ok... not conclusive but worth trying: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/2.0l_TFSI_(AXX/BGB/BPJ/BPY/BWA)#Throttle_Body

If you suspect a leaky pipe then fingers crossed that will have solved it. If you haven't cleared fault codes already, check what your LTFTs are doing (Measuring block 032). If you have cleared them recently then the car will need a number of miles to re-adapt)
