Skuncan's R32
« on: August 03, 2016, 02:14:06 pm »
So thought i would start a my ride thread....

Little history, got the car in August 2013 at a nice price, it had all i wanted... 2 doors, DSG, F1 highback seats etc....

She was a daily driver for two years and i put a whooping 50,000kms on her, but since 2015 she has been not used so much and after the MOT (french) it came to light that a few things needed sorting.....

Suspension has shoot after 172000kms !!!, front brakes needed a complete overall etc....
So i set about doing the stuff i wanted to her...

Below pictures are as she was when i first got her

I have just replaced all the suspension, wishbone rubbers, anti roll bar rubbers and brakes all round..

Current list of updates:
Bilstein B8 shocks
H&R springs 20/25mm drop
Powerflex rubbers (front wishbones and anti-roll bar (Fr+Re)
Cayanne 6 pots (front) and 4 pots (rear)

This is how she looks at the moment...

Thanks... yes i changed it to a TTRS vsersion 25.4mm... really straight forward swap...
at the moment i have not really bedded the brakes in... the car inlinement needs to be done, and its booked in... so not wanting to drive her, if the inlinement is quite out it will kill the front tyres and they are new !!!

I like how you've blacked out the grille. Never been a fan of the chrome bits on R32s!

But.... your photos are crap! Get some better ones up please!

Nice stoppers too.

Haha, wild boar is one thing! But glasses?!! 20/20 vision here mate! :)

I'm on tapatalk on me mobile though, so it could be that.. but most other pics are fine.

Would any young whippers with better eyesight care to evaluate these photos for resolution and clarity please??!

I'm only 35 :(

This is how they're coming up for me.

And if you tap on them it's just a digital zoom of that small image. I (we) want to see more of this car!

I'm on a laptop, the original pics are very small but if you click on them they're better quality higher res, seems to be linking to a hosting site.

Nice car BTW  :happy2:

Haha, no worries mate you didn't come across as rude at all. I detected slight banter!

It's a lovely looking car anyway. Best colour. I've always got respect for an R32, and probably more for an owner of an R32... bigger bills and all that. They do sound incredible, and an easy 400bhp at low boost with a turbo kit, going through all the wheels.

It's true that you can make a GTI/Ed30 'faster' than an R32 for not much money. But if you wanted to, you could turn the tables in a big way.

HPA have done some good stuff with the 3.2 and 3.6 engines. 700bhp in a mk6.
