Wheel repair/refurb options

My Monza 18s are in awful condition - really ruins the car. Here is one of the better ones



I really like the diamond cut - but can't risk white worm coming back. This leaves me with painting. @Beej 's wheels turned out excellent after painting, and I think I will go down this route, using the colours he has recommended.

My issue is, that my wheels are so bad atm. Apparently two of them have small flat spots, plus last week I had a tyre fitted and the guy fitting it said the back of the alloy was in a bad state, and ill experience air loss because of it.

Now, are my wheels past repair? I assume if I wanted them painted, I would have to have the structural damage sorted out first, and then have them painted?

i have sent worse wheels for refurb and they havecome back better than new.My alloys were orig ball point finish but when they needed a refurb i got them painted in shadow chrome and looked very good

The only thing I was told was that because of the time it took to mask up to 'two tone' the wheels, he would normally charge a fair bit more, he done me mates rates as I have known him for long enough

@maxitrol That was when I first got the car, and they have detiorated further since. My main concern is the flat spots, and the corrosion noted by the tyre fitter on the rear of the wheel.

Has anyone had them painted with the inserts a separate colour, so two tone, and a rough price I will b looking at?

A good refurb will do all the alloy for you so they will be like new,Not sure on the pricing but on the Kia ones at work that are 2 tone i think we pay £60 a wheel for 18"

i got a guy near me £200 full strip down and powder coated inside and out or i have another fella just over the back of stanstead that will just paint the faces

I need the full strip down/ flat spots taken out etc. So is that £200 a wheel?!

£200 for a full strip down is cheap

Interested to see where you get them done and the results. mine need doing but last quote to strip and powder coat was around £320 which isn't far off how much I paid for them to be diamond cut a few years back
