I checked on ebay but the cheapest VCDS tool is over 300€, which right now is a bit much for me. So I guess I'll try hit up VW or some workshops. If you have a link to a cheap VCDS tool please share it   :jumping:

You can get knock-off VCDS cables but some people don't advise using them.

You will get sent software with the knock off VCDS cable. When you open this software you will be prompted to update. DO NOT UPDATE IT. You cant update it, as it is a knock-off, it will kill your cable and you won't be able to use it again.

MAF aside...

Replace the PCV. It's not expensive, and the usual tests aren't always indicative of a fault.

Then check plugs and coils; you didn't say how long they'd been in?

Don't rule out a dodgy injector. A bad idle is one of the symptoms.

If you can't get / don't have access to VCDS right now, get it in to a specialist who can do some data logging rather than reading the usual fault codes. Get them to log misfires.

Thanks lads for the info! I will look into all options. Sorry I am a little late getting back to reply. Was out in the country with the family over the past week. No net
I will def get her into a shop and see what is what!
Quick update - She's running normal again (averaging 11L/100km) not Loud and weird, but like earlier I don't know how long that'll last.
PCV hasn't been changed.
Plugs and Coilpacks were changed no more than 2 weeks ago.
