R32 spring retainers
« on: August 16, 2016, 05:11:19 pm »
Hi,

I've sent the R32 calipers that I bought on the bay off to Bigg Red to be refurbished and painting yellow.
I bought and repainted some S3 spring retainers (if this is what you call them?!??) and applied some Pirelli stickers, then sealed with lacquer.
Very pleased, and am hopeful that they will go with my yellow calipers really well.

Now here is my problem, the ones that I have refurbished are a different shape to what came off?! the spring arm bits are not anywhere near as bent as the one that came off!!

I have looked at other photos of R32 calipers, and they all seem to have more bent sections.
Should I be bending these to suit what came off? I presume that they have been bent straight by the previous owner for some reason??

All your advice would be much appreciated  :happy2:

I'd just fit them as is tbh. There is a slight difference yes but can't see it affecting the fit  :happy2:
