2006 GTi, DSG, BWA.

Dead, all lights off on dash, then alive 5 mins later????

after a 30 min drive, pulled into supermarket, locked up. came back to the car, unlocked it normally..........then the screen/dash died. 5 mins later, back on, drove away normally.

have VCDS, (new user) and there were no error codes other than voltage regulator error n block 61(had to update the can bus to install a RCD510)

this is the second time in a year its done this. Currently the car has no AC (pressure too low error) and the voltage regulator error I mentioned above, its also not the best starter. at work so cant post a vcds scan till I'm done.

in other post people have mentioned the low pressure fuel pump being a possible cause, or the thrust sensor  (I replaced the fuel filter a while back due to it leaking)

thanks

Have you checked that all the fuses are secure and correct?

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!
