gti owner from northern ireland

Good morning.

Andy here new to the forum.

I have owned my mk5 gti for about a year now.

Though I'm near at my wits end with it and I'm hoping that someone here may have the answer I'm looking.

This will obviously be in the wrong section but hopefully you will all go easy on me seeing since I'm new 

The gti I own has absolutely no power down low won't even spin the wheels. When the turbo comes on it seems to liven up then top end seems to just to struggle big style.

The car has had a new dv latest version and pcv valve. I've changed throttle pedal and throttle body and I'm running outta ideas please can someone give me that all important clue where to go next?

Man or dsg ?

Have you checked the O-rings around the boost pipes, intercooler pipework ?

Is the car modified in anyway ?

Do you have access to VCDS/VAGCOM ?

Hi there.

Pipes all seem fine. I changed the maf this morning a bit better still not great. Its a manual car. Done a boost leak test all good. M8 has vagcom and we are all stumped, could be pointing to turbo perhaps? Forgot to mention also changed the fuel pump tappet. Car has a cold air induction kit, 3" decat pipe and a forge blow off valve and that's it as far as I know.
