Yes. You may need a spacer depending on your wheels.

I have them on my GTI

You can fit the calipers with oem TTRS discs (370mm) but those discs get slated. Apparently they warp really easily. There are loads of threads on this.

The most popular option is to use the 340mm TTS disc. However, you will need adapters. AKS sell them, I think they're around 200 quid. Again, lots of threads covering it.

I was just told about the discs by paradox re warping.
£200 for adapters like wt*  :surprised: almost the same cost as the discs.

Thanks AJP

Yeah it aint cheap is it. I looked at TTRS as well as the 18z option, and as good as they both undoubtedly are, it's a big chunk of money. I don't know if anyone else makes the brackets (or how good they are). Once in a while you see the AKS brackets coming up 2nd hand, but it's rare.

If there was a good aftermarket replacement for the 370mm disc you'd be laughing. But as far as I know the only thing available is an expensive two piece, like the 362mm disc that forms part of the 2 grand AKS TTRS kit! The kit with adapters and 340s is 1200 quid if I remember right.

I found some adaptors for £120 so should be okay as I've used the similar on my brembo LCR for the tt and they were fine. I think I'll go smaller discs as per recommendations

I don't think they warp, I don't think it's possible to warp cast iron, it's more the standard TTRS discs are both the same hand/directional vanes so one side runs hotter than the other.which isn't ideal when pushing on, you'd probably never notice in a mk5 gti unless you track it.

The vagbremtechnic carriers that allow use of the 340mm TTS disc may seem a tad expensive but the TTS discs can be had for about £80 ( Brembo) a pair where as the the TTRS are north of £300.

I bought my kit bit by bit ,and I was lucky to find the vagbrem carriers and j-hooked discs lightly used locally on eBay for about £120 ( Bargain ) the seller thought they where warped after a trip to the ring, but what he was experiencing was probably pad deposits because Iv never any problems with them,

great upgrade

Not scare mongering but there are some pictures of the cheaper carriers bent/distorted some where . The vagbremtechnic jobbies are like £250 but atleast you get a quality product and HEL hoses are included which are £40-£50
