Why not just buy the polar FIS? It's only a bit more money

The PolarFIS Adv. would give function to the steering wheel buttons but the BT module would still not show in the cluster display.

I have both.
Didn't realise you had the polar box bt fitted Rich-says on there Web site the phone button on the steering wheel will work also

Yes it would.

I have the Polar FIS with OEM 7P6 BT module and it shows my BT phone in the display, and I can access my phone book etc.

I've got the polar FIS.

Did your car already have BT?

AH ok cool... in that case then you could have got the Polar FIS which would display the phone on the highline display and do all the other things too.

Thats exact same one I ordered for a customer recently.

Worked for a bit and then stopped working after that. not sure why but the supplier is sending a replacement

Like I said previously, I have both PolarFIS Adv. and PolarBT working well for +1 year with a BT module 7P6 rev M. Must be just a faulty unit.

Yeah that's what I thought wonder if you only get the BT module it connects behind the header unit

Looking better at your picture I can see that the loom is different now. Mine was the same as what the PolarFIS Adv. module has so I just had to connect them in serial to the CAN gateway.
