engine stalls when sat in traffic and warm
« on: September 08, 2016, 01:17:32 pm »
My engine used to stall and misfire when i was starting to accelerate but my garage has now fixed the misfire with a inlet manifold pressure sensor (or something like that) and it is now smooth on take off. These problems came after i had both the radiator and condenser changed to get the climatic control working again after i found a large stone through them. Now the engine has just the stalling issue when idle and sat in traffic and warm ? i have just changed jobs and now travel through the city as opposed to 70 miles on a motorway everyday. Its booked in the garage again next week for 2 days on the machine to see if any faults occur. Up until now no dashboard warning signs have lit up and no codes have been generated on the machine after they checked after the sensor went in. Any ideas ?

Don't assume as a minor service is only only and filter unless otherwise stated on any paper work.

Maybe the garage just did bare minimum and an MOT at same time. Do you think I should ask my garage to do a full service before they start any other work or fault finding on it ? I've only had this car for 4 months now.
