DV question
« on: September 17, 2016, 03:28:29 pm »
So there I was  bored on a Friday afternoon, decided to drop my DV off and check condition. Been meaning to for a little while, even though if it was knackered I had no replacement!
Anyway up on the ramps and off it came, guessing it was original, had rev c on it. Looked in perfect condition, now I had no symptoms and this was purely an inspection. My question is would this be normal or has my car had an easy life? Should I bother changing  it as car is still standard?
Guess what I am ultimately getting at is the fact I thought I was missing something when you read of all the failures. 07 55k

Yeah just leave it and check every service for condition, or if you get running problems. Then maybe upgrade to a rev G.

No point fixing something that isn't broken.

Every One I removed has always looked in good condition but I fitted the latest Revision G for piece of mind!

For a fit and forget solution there is always the GFB-DV+, You can retain your existing solenoid but replace the weak parts and you get an improvement in throttle response too!
