Mk6 mirrors onto a mk5
« on: September 20, 2016, 06:43:47 pm »
I know it's been done by plush automotive

But can anyone shed some light what actually needs doing to the bases to get them to fit

Cheers Dan

Plastic moulding, I'm afraid. Although the only feature I like more about the mk6 mirrors is the folding capability. Mk5 mirrors don't really fold much... :sad1:

yeah the folding is pretty pants on the Mk5 - sometimes hardly worth the effort!  :signLOL:

They do look very identical when side by side but I guess the mk6 is slighly curved lo

Yeah if anyone steps over a guide how to make them fit please share! :D
Searched google for it, but there's not really any guides to see what there's needed to be done before they'll fit.

Also VERY interested doing this to my MK5.
