Why don't you sink the bolts on the table, as you've done on the benches - so you don't catch your hand/clothes etc on them

I've only sunk the bolts on the bench because you would catch yourself sitting.

I really like the look of exposed bolts because it shows how things are held together. That table top has 1000mm of 316 stainless steel slotted through every single beam on the table. Both nuts are then tightened either side to pull it together.

If catching the bolts was an issue I'd countersink but I feel they add to it aesthetically and the only protrude 25mm.
