Scott's Gti, new member!
« on: September 29, 2016, 05:09:51 pm »
Hi all,

My names Scott and i'm new to this forum so thought i'd post a couple of pictures of my new purchase.

Last week I purchased my first gti and i love it, one hell of a car! Its had a lot of work done by the previous owner with a huge folder of receipts.
Just to name a few modifications:
R-Tech remap to 268bhp & 301ft/lbs torque
Revo intake kit
Revo mount kit
Porsche front brake upgrade with Brembo discs & pads
Audi TT short shifter

Here's some pictures

Not sure on future plans yet so just going to enjoy driving it for the time being, possibly look into suspension upgrades and give it a full clean/wax/polish when i get a free (and dry) day.

Hope you guys like, any comments welcome  :happy2:

This is a really good starting point. NQSBBK and uprated mounts are great mods, and neither would have been cheap.

Get a bigger downpipe and uprated fuel pump if and when you're after more power.

Nice motor. Welcome aboard.

Thanks mate, not 100% sure at the moment but i'm thinking about replacing struts for new bilsteins and some springs (maybe h&r)
Spacers for the rear, fronts on h&r 16mm spacers so would even it out,
Led interior light bulb kit (has bright blue ones in there at the moment, not a fan)
Possibly some front light upgrades (r32 lights, hids etc)

Thanks mate, they are brilliant, immense stopping power in comparison to previous gti's I have driven  :happy2:

Thanks AJP, the previous owner was very OCD and seemed clued up on all the parts he had fitted, all the trouble parts done aswell as many upgrades, i couldn't say no to this one! Once i've got used to the car i think that may be the way to go... And once i've saved some more £££!

Nice!

Thanks!  :happy2:

Had a productive morning and finally got round to fitting a few bits i ordered last week,

Fitted a new interior led light kit after finding a few of the ones in there were broken, and also not a fan of the colour

From this...

To this...

Will get some proper photos when its dark
Fitted some 8mm h&r rear spacers to match the fronts...

And some genuine center caps to tidy the wheels up...

And also replaced the drivers door actuator, had noticed it was playing up this last week so got one off of ebay and works perfectly, a surprisingly easy job up to previous cars!

Should be ordering some new bilstein shocks, h&r lowering springs and new top mounts next week to get it sitting perfect
