MK5 GTI K04 Converted
« on: October 03, 2016, 04:00:43 pm »
Hello all! I thought i would start a progress thread of the MK5 GTI that i recently got. Some of you will know me on here from having a 2010 Leon Cupra stage 2 + but had to sell under circumstances  :sad1: but i am loving the Golf so all is well !

This is a run down on the specification of the GTI so fair of what has been done before purchased and when in my ownership.

Specification
It is Graphite blue which i think is a lovely colour as in the sun really shows its colour
Full heated leather interior
High line clocks
New south performance air vent boost gauge
standard 18" Monzas in grey

Engine
EVOMS K04 Intake
k04 turbo
Milltek turbo-back resonated exhaust with 200cell sports cat
Euro jet front mount inter-cooler
RS4 Valve
Loba up-rated high pressure fuel pump
DV+ diverter valve upgrade

Suspension/brakes
XYZ Adjustable coilovers
Standard GTI brakes

Things i have planned for the future are
8V S3 front brake upgrade plus rears
Anti-lift kit
de-silence mid-section as is too quite for my liking
DSG re-map
Cambelt and water pump
Team dynamics Pro Race 1.2

Here is what the GTI looks like from when i got it till now which I only got a month ago, hope you all like!

This is how i got the GTI was in ok condition but was needing a deep clean!

Coilovers some people will not know of the make as i did not either but i thought i would give them a shot as i got a really good deal on them! Full adjustable too!

Here is how the GTI sits as today after a month.

Very nice mate.

A lovely looking car with I'm sure the power to match. Have you got any numbers or rolling road graphs? Would love to know what sort of power gains you've got.

390lb/ft..... I bet that feels bloody strong! Good job you're DSG or you'd need an uprated clutch for that. Nice motor.

Thank you for the comments guys! It is a lot handle but put's a smile on my face  just need to get the DSG remapped as its limiting things a bit as of the tourgue limiter. On another note my brakes have arrived and looking forward to fitting them this weekend  :jumping:

Looks good and like the figures!

My dad bought a mk5 GTI new in 2006 in this colour. One of my favourite colours ever.

You using the oem brake lines with the S3 calipers mate? Can't remember if we've discussed it in the other thread or not. I'm going for braided but I'm not 100% sure which ones to get.

I am going to use oem lines as I don't feel like I need braided lines as I don't use them hard enough as only using for Road use.
