Braking Question
« on: October 06, 2016, 12:56:15 am »
Hey guys/girls,
I've got a question about my GTI's brakes, it would seem under lower speeds the brakes feel completely fine but slowing down from higher speeds the pedal seems to feel a bit firmer than it would at lower speeds? i've recently replaced the servo, but im sure it was the same way before, maybe its just me being picky over it, braking power doesn't seem to be affected (i can still emergency stop if i needed to) just seems like maybe there's less assist in the brakes when slowing down from higher speeds meaning i have to press the pedal a bit harder?
Probably just me but thought it worth asking just in case!
Thanks

Couldn't stand the oem brakes. Replaced the fronts with a stage 3 kit from ECS(Porsche turbo replica)...added braided lines...drilled discs...and much better pads.

I would suggest pads and braided lines on better discs. Or, find some Cupra R or R32 front calipers to add to braided lines, pads, and discs.
