Hot start is common fault. Ecu tune resolves it.

Going through a Puddle and causing issues is probably something else entirely.

Change the starter motor for hot start. Ecu tune fix injects the fuel from 0/200 rpm, but not solve the issue.

+1 for starter motor.
Some people change the battery which masks the issue, but eventually it's down to the starter motor.

People have replaced starter motor and issue has happened again after a few months.

ECU tune is £50 or £60. New starter motor can be 3 or 4 times that amount.

While I agree the "proper" fix is a new starter motor, clean any corrosion on points around the area, check wiring, fit new battery and the ecu tune combined, doing the ecu on it's own is the cheapest.
