what brake discs?
« on: October 08, 2016, 06:19:52 pm »
rear rotors are really rusty !  restore or should I just buy some more with coating or coat them myself before I install? any recommendations 300bhp but I don't brake crazy... eurocarparts have sale too...

~Secondly - some calipers are newer than others - the one I pictured has peeling paint - if I wanted to restore - would it be better to remove paint before or just paint over it?  any links to good diy would be great - I know there are a lot of yt vids.

any disc deals worth getting on eurocarparts sale or ebay?  like the ebc black ones on ebay?  I have ka04 turbo by the way

thanks

For the rears I wouldn't go too mad! Pagid discs and pads are usually a fair price especially with euro's 30% sales. Though to be fair you could probably just sand them bits down and spray them as your discs look in pretty good condition.  As for painting calipers I'd just scotch them up and  hammerite them straight over existing paint. Been meaning to do mine for months too

I don't really know what color red the hammerite is? is it hammerite smooth?  - been looking at the foliatec caliper paint set in eurocar parts - rosso red looks nice...

Pretty sure I've read on here that some have used foliatec and it's ok, have a search.
