I feel your pain (and frustration). If it makes you feel any better, I gave up doing mine and booked it into the garage where they charged an hours labour to do both sides (pads and discs) on the rear. I've got better things to do with my time than spend hours (literally) getting stuck bolts off.
Fronts weren't a problem as you can get a good long breaker in there (plus about 1m pipe), but there's no room to do much with the rears. Managed to get the top bolt off on one side (after an hour), but the bottom one wasn't budging for love nor money.
