Wondering why this hasn't been mentioned before but all car dealers must give at least 3 (maybe 6) months warranty on all used car sales. Unless he wrote something saying no warranty and you specifically signed it then you have a legal right to go back. @Lucastheone92
Cheers guys I bought the car on the 13th August so will give them a call tomorrow.

Guessing it's best not to mention it's been remapped!

Nah they shouldn't know it's been mapped.

I got my car from them too and the guy was a bit annoying at times like most dealers are. Just be decent with him as nobody likes someone coming in all guns blazing as you would probably get nowhere.

When you buy a second-hand car from a dealer, you still have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act.
You got your car from gt performance ?

I phoned the garage today and it seems my car is under warranty and they are in the process of posting out information on how to make a warranty claim.

Thank you very much, you could be saving me lots and lots of money!  :phew:

By law the garage has to supply a minimum 3 month warranty.. even if they say otherwise.

Keep on it as its funny how they say there is no warranty, yet they are posting info to you months later...
Perhaps waiting until the 3 months after the purchase date when it will be out of warranty.

i know a customer has sale of goods act and a bit of protection , but if buying a car that is knowingly modified , remapped etc , through a second hand dealer does this affect a warranty? .can they actually offer any 3rd party  warranty if its mapped ?...(for example if it is provided through the r.a.c ). i do not know the answer , warranty companies and mods do not go well together normally...
