« on: September 03, 2016, 10:38:08 am »
Want to upgrade my stereo in my edition 30 as only have radio and cd.

Does anyone know if any of these systems have usb for iPhone etc as this is priority? And do I need to change canbus module when upgrading ?

What age is your car? That will dictate if it needs the canbus upgraded.

You can add usb to an RNS510 by way of an additional MDI kit.

Would this be the same / similar to the MDI for an MFD2?  My MFD2 has an ipod connection (and I think aux), and am looking to upgrade.  Although I am thinking of the RNS315 rather than 510 to be fair.

My car is 2007 but since this post have considered getting this http://www.dynavin.com/products/n6_vw.php because you can do a lot more with it! Not many reviews about it though.

This might be a decent option for you.  I had one installed last year and it really brought the interior up to date, adding satnav at the same time. Sounds quite decent also.

I've got a MF2 that looking to upgrade.  Did you find any more information out about these?  Could be an interesting option?

There is information out there such as youtube videos and reviews online but nothing from guys on here which is what I was looking for really. Going to buy it early next year.
