Had my thermostat replaced yesterday by a local VW Specialist. Also had my cam follower swapped at the same time.
As soon as I drove it again, it didn't feel quite right but this is my first GTI so didn't think too much of it as i have only driven it when the thermostat has been playing up.
It's almost as though the throttle wasn't smooth anymore. Without pushing my foot any higher or lower, the car would accelate by itself almost. It's quite hard to explain.
Anyway, heading to work this morning and the car decides to go into limp mode and pretty much shut down on me. Pull over, restart etc. Take it very easy to work as its definitely not running right.
Scanned it with Vagcom this evening and I'm getting fault:
000568- Manifold Pressure/ Boost Sensor, signal too high.
As I tried to clear the code, the car tried to cut out on me. When it couldn't clear the code, it returned to "normal" again.
Can was running faultlessly before taking it to the garage yesterday.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Pete
