My GTTDi 140
« on: October 30, 2016, 08:39:17 pm »
So had my golf 8 weeks now! When I first bought it I was in the mind set that this car was perfect and I didn't want to change anything on it...... but then I joined this site and now I can't go on the internet with out coming on this site!! Some of the cats I have seen on here and some of the mods on here are absolutely incredible, so now I have decided my car is good but not perfect haven't quite decided what to start with but I will be modding my car soon so keep looking for updates, here are a few pictures of my baby all polished and cleaned!

Tried putting up pictures not sure on how to do it can anyone help please

Thanks for your comment Andy! Your thread is the reason for my modifications I particularly liked the full ring rear lights it was mint! Need to find some more great spots in the north east for photos.

Your more than welcome Andy the things you did to your GTTDi where absolute perfection and it's by far the best GTTDi I have seen, and sounds like a great idea, I have watched a video or four on YouTube how to do that to my lights and it's far too complicated I will have too look into it a little more before I even attempt it!  :signLOL: I want the r32 rear lights so when I get them I will try on my original lights and if I make a mess of it I can still put the r32 ones straight in, first things first the metal pressed plates and the plate surrounds just to add that subtle improvement then I will be going from there, I'm going to order my bulbs at the weekend one of the guys on here suggested the osram night breaker bulbs so going to give them ago see how they turn out!

Let me know how the Osram Nightbreakers turn out - not sure which bulb to go for or whether I should just get a set of Xenon units to retrofit

Follow maxitrol's build thread and your car will look nuts   :happy2:

Yeah done a few of the golfs headlights, quite common for them to fade.

Make sure you keep them waxed or sealed, or use something like cquartz DLUX.

I watched a video on YouTube mate he wet and dried them then lacquered them with clear non yellowing laquer and then you don't need to seal them or wax them any more so hopefully won't need to do it anymore
