Drivers side door lock ?
« on: November 09, 2016, 05:09:55 pm »
Hi all
I have a problem with my unlocking of drivers side door via keyfob
Not unlocking
I tried again half hour later, there was a weird noise and door was unlocked, tried again, no weird noise and wouldn't unlock
Is there a common fault and an easy fix ?
Thanks

Common fault from what I've found. Replaced both on mine (3dr) recently and pretty straight forward to do on a GTI. Couple of tools needed but easily doable if you follow a guide as above.

Happy to help if your anywhere near Stafford  :happy2:

Poss a touch too far

I found the new modules on Ebay for £30 each and have been faultless. Would recommend them as VW quoted £70+ each.
