Yeah, not worth fixing for 200 when the unit like yours cost around 250. Better sell this one for the spares, you will get 100-150 and get a LED one.

You can consider fitting the radio in another car. If your car came with the RNS-510 from factory your CAN is a rev L, which is compatible with newer firmwares, so that shouldn't be the problem. Just writing this because if the radio doesn't know when the car lights are turned on, it won't turn the lights on of its buttons.
